Where kids PLAY, learn, grow, explore, & thrive!
Every teacher at IPS is not only qualified with a California Teaching Permit, but they all have a minimum of an AA Degree in addition to their years of teaching experience.
Renee Kennedy teaches the 4 to 5 year-old children. She has been with us for three years and enjoys working with children on developing their social and emotional skills, taking on classroom responsibilities, and strengthening their math, science, and language skills. Also learning the purpose of writing and strengthening the muscles in their hands is an important goal for the year.
I am Mari Hubert, most well known as Ms. Mari (pronounced Mary). I have been teaching for many years and have been at IPS for (almost) 4 years. I really enjoy working alongside parents in the classroom as it gives them the opportunity to see their child in a different environment than they do at home. As parents work in the classroom they have a realistic view of who their child plays with, what activities they engage in and where they can help them grow at home. I LOVE the play based educational experience offered here at IPS. Children learn and develop as they engage in activities that are interesting and fun!
One of my favorite quotes is by Benjamin Franklin: "Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn."
My name is Ms. Charlee. I am the outdoor teacher and I have been with IPS as staff since February 2011. I was a Parent in the program and grew to love it so much that I applied for a job. I hold 2 associate degrees one in social and behavioral science and the other in humanities with over 15 units of early child hood education. I am married to Bradley and together we have two crazy kids Breven(8) and Aubree (5). Aubree is an IPS alumni and enjoyed two wonderful years at this school. I love working with children and I love that IPS allows us as teachers not only to build a relationship with the children but with the parents as well and the way that the school becomes a community as years go on.
My name is Ms. Valerie. I am the outdoor teacher and this will be my second year working at IPS. I teach by our philosophy of learning through play. There is nothing more rewarding then igniting the love of learning in a child. I am a proud parent of an IPS graduate. My daughter attended here for two years and loved every minute of it. I look forward to many more years of teaching and all the different personalities and experience each new child brings.
